Examples of work we have carried out
This is a training day at Kawakawa with Predator free Taupo.

With successful funding from the Department of Conservation Community Fund a group of keen farmers within the beautiful Kawakawa Bay are able to setup a network of traps on their farmland to help protect the stunning local biodiversity and keep pest numbers down.
It was awesome to have Jason Day join us for the day and share his wealth of trapping knowledge and show how to effectively use the selection of traps that we put out on the day, Finn also joined us, a Predator Free NZ Trust apprentice that Jason is training in all things predator control, Thanks for everyone’s involvement on the day always good to see more traps heading out. Wild deer
Early 2021, we were introduced by Cam Speedy to The Sika Foundations initiative to help feed needy families around the Central Plateau. Under MPI guidelines, hunters can donate deer, which is processed into mince to be distributed by the local foodbanks in and around Taupo and Turangi. We are pleased to be a part of this initiative by being a drop off point for hunters to drop deer. Please contact us, Cam Speedy or The Sika Foundation for more info.
